David E. Kenney, Esq. of Kenney & Kropff is our guest today he will provide an overview about the results of his recent three year investigation into the connection between politics and an attack underway in the least expected of all places – the public schools. It’s a wild ride. The story starts in 2000 – as he puts it twenty years into a hundred year problem.
David E. Kenney, is from Glendora, California. He attended the University of Southern California where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy. Attended the School of Law at Pepperdine University where he served as President of the Christian Legal Society.
Worked for several years with the law firm of Kadison, Pfaelzer, Woodard, Quinn & Rossi in downtown Los Angeles, recruited to serve as the Senior Lawyer for the California Legislature, Assembly Subcommittee on Sports and Entertainment, where he got to learn more about politics than he needed to know. Traveled extensively throughout the United States and around the world, including a trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro, spending time in India, Asia and throughout Europe, and has served as Special Counsel to the Lynwood Unified School District and as General Counsel to the Montebello Unified School District in Los Angeles County, California. Tai Chi practitioner. Former Championship Skateboarder in the 1960s with Kip’s Skateboard Team. Member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the Central and Eastern Districts of California. Had the honor of working with former President of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Jack Quinn and Anthony J. Rossi and several other prominent lawyers in Southern California.
Practices in a wide spectrum of cases in administrative law, appellate law, education, general business, civil trials, and appeals with a special emphasis on Quo Warranto actions against public officials, and recently completed an exhaustive investigation into abuse, fraud and waste in the field of public school bonds throughout the State of California resulting in federal complaints and enforcement actions. He has also been involved in election contests and special administrative proceedings.
