The Washington landscape is littered with the carcasses of Washington Operators and lobbyists, who often end up in jail. But none is as venal and greedy as George Corbin, the villain in The Washington Operator, a fast-moving political thriller. Corbin works with China to implement a plot to take over Middle Eastern oil, utilizing Iran as a puppet. While investigating the murder of a university student, Kelly Cameron, a rising star in the FBI, learns of this plot.

Kelly gains assistance from Ester, a Mossad agent who has a long-time love affair with a high ranking Iranian official. Together, they launch a daring plan to thwart the Chinese and to bring down the powerful, corrupt, and immoral Washington operator, Corbin. For more information on Mr. Topol books go to http://www.allantopol.com/ or go to amazon.com to order The Washington Operator.

Our last guest is Dr. Lisa McAdams, Acting Regional Administrator for the Southwest Regional Office of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Since May, millions of people have received and are successfully using their new Medicare card. In October 2018, CMS will be mailing new cards to people with Medicare in Texas and New Mexico. Everyone with Medicare in these states should get their new Medicare cards by the end of October. Each new card will have a unique new Medicare number—instead of a Social Security number. Removing Social Security numbers will help prevent Medicare fraud. While there’s a new card and number, Medicare benefits remain the same. Receiving new cards: You don’t have to do anything to get your new Medicare card, they will be arriving automatically by mail. Find out when your card is coming: Sign up online at Medicare.gov/newcard to get emails that tell you when cards are being mailed to your area. It takes about a month for everyone in your mailing area to receive their cards.
