Our guests today are Bailey and her daughter Fiona, today they will tell their story about what Fiona has endured for the last three months in the school district in Palm Beach County, Florida. She hasNo Mask Symbol been suspended from school numerous times for not wearing a mask in the state that masks are not mandatory. She is a top student at 8 years old a brave little girl.

Bailey is a Florida native, residing in Palm Beach County where she lives with her husband, stepson and 2 daughters.  Bailey is a former Olympic level athlete trying out for the women’s ice hockey team in 2000 where the team went on to win silver in 2002, a bone marrow donor and advocate for be the match while also being trained in Emergency medicine.  She followed her passion 7 years ago and is now a full time professional photographer specializing in children and family portraits while also turning out amazing headshots and event photography her passion remains with photographing children.  Owning her own business gives her the flexibility to be a coach on the baseball field teaching baseball to 4-6 year olds as well as a room mom, active within the school volunteering as a member of the PTA where her daughter Fiona attends.  She is also the proud mother of one of the most brave and courageous 8 yr olds you will meet.  Her daughter Fiona is currently standing up for not only her own rights as a child but the rights of children everywhere by taking on and disobeying the mandate issued by the Palm Beach County school district that violates Florida law requiring children to be masked in the classroom with out the option of parental opt out. Courtney AddisonOur last guest is Courtney Addison she knows all too well the challenges and devastating effects a cancer diagnosis can have on a child and their family. In spring 2020, her three-year-old son Cayden was diagnosed with a high-risk form of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). To treat his cancer, Cayden endured surgeries, chemotherapy and countless overnight hospital stays.

Courtney will let us know about Cayden’s health now and share her family’s experience being by Cayden’s side throughout his cancer journey. Courtney will also talk about the valuable support she and her family received from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the importance of LLS’s partnership with national retailer Burlington to drive forward research for better treatments and cures for children with cancer, and how your community can make a difference in the lives of pediatric blood cancer patients like her son Cayden.

LLS is committed to improving outcomes for children with blood cancer. Through the LLS Children’s Initiative, it is offering more free support services and resources for pediatric patients and increasing its investment in pediatric cancer research so children will not only survive a cancer diagnosis but also thrive after treatment for many years to come. Our next guest is Author Lori Rochat, she will be discussing her newest book, Schizophrenia Your Guide to Surviving And Thriving. This is a self-help part memoir book about experiences in her life that relate to her illness.  Lori is certified in mental health first aid, volunteered for NAMI (national alliance for the mentally ill) on a psych hospital ward for two and a half years helping patients, did some speaking engagements.  Her book was rated #11 on bookauthority.org  as one of the best books on schizophrenia books of 2021 Her book is also mentioned on Midwest book review in September 2021 in Gary Roan’s bookshelf.  She also was a guest on Steve Schneider’s podcast discoveredwordsmith.com
